Your Library :: Book Sales

The Friends of the La Jolla Library sponsors an area of the library dedicated to the sales of donated books, audiobooks, DVDs and magazines.

The shop is open every day and offers a wide selection of adult fiction and nonfiction and many children’s books. Revenue from these sales go to purchase new materials for the La Jolla library and also to help other San Diego libraries.

When you donate your gently-used materials you receive a donation form which can be used in your income tax information.

Thank you for supporting your neighborhood library.

Fall 2015 Update!

By Moreen Fielden, Friend of the La Jolla Library

There is a lovely classics area full of books that have been donated. Retired librarian Catherine Greene is in charge of the classics area and many students find paperback books for their classes on these shelves.

In November & December the children's area includes books on Thanksgiving and the holidays. Many include picture books that are both paperback and hardback. Also included are ones for beginning readers and students in primary grades.

Magazines, CD's & DVD's fill shelves for adult patrons of the library.
